Following the update & circulation of the Galleywood Information Leaflet to all the homes in Galleywood this site is now being updated.
The following information was placed on this site in March 2003, when the site was started.
The initial site has been created by Alan & Shirley Thomas. Alan creating and Shirley giving ideas, encouragement & editing.
It has taken Alan about 6 weeks in all to get this far - all self taught. This has consisted of about 3 weeks reading (on & off, when time allowed), followed by 2 weeks learning on the computer and then the initial site was created in just over a week from Monday 31st March.
The initial information is based on the Galleywood Information Leaflet issued in March 2002.
Consequently, there will be a considerable amount of updating in the coming weeks - not only because the Information Leaflet is now a year old, but because we are contacting all of the residents of Galleywood together with the clubs, groups, & organisations mentioned throughout this site for additional information.
So if you have any knowledge of something going on within Galleywood, or would like to let others know the details of your club, or your favourite walk, restaurant etc then let us know & we will try to post it up on the site for others to share. If you want to advertise your event or you are looking for help from others within the village, then send us details.
You may also have ideas of contributing to the site, with a section we have not included yet. The possibilities are probably endless, but they could include a 'thought for the week', or a 'favorite recipe' for those chefs amongst you.
Also do not forget the free "Small Ads" section, or if you cannot sell it, contact the local charity shop, or the Farleigh Hospice Distribution Centre in Rignals Lane (see Charities).
The Notice Board is also there for you to have your say - it could be a contact message, or perhaps details of how your meeting/event went, or just a thank you for those that supported or helped with your event.
