GVPG hold their AGM in their normal venue at Seabrights - 8pm 8/10/04.
The group was formed in 2001 by residents of Galleywood that were concerned about apparent threats to the quality of life within Galleywood. Although initially concentrating on planning matters the group soon appreciated that their focus was on communication with the residents of Galleywood.
The group have issued several newsletters to the 2500 + homes within Galleywood and sponsored a Galleywood Information Leaflet which was issued to every home, providing residents with information on all the local services, shops, businesses, pubs etc within the village.
The goup have held public meetings and attended other meetings and lobied for various improvements within the village, including speed limit changes. Although various matters will be redirected to the Parish or the Borough Councils, if there appears to be a significant matter that can benefit from communicating to other residents within Galleywood, then GVPG will try to assist.
They meet informally, usually at Seabrights Barn on the 2nd Friday of each month at 8pm, and everybody is welcome to attend or contact the group with any concerns they have.
